Membership
Berkana is not built around wealth alone.
It is built around mindset.
Our members come from different countries, industries, and generations, yet they share remarkable similarities: intellectual curiosity, generosity of spirit, long-term thinking, and the desire to build something greater than themselves. These qualities matter as much as the capital they steward.
Membership in Berkana is extended by personal invitation only. Every prospective member is introduced by an existing member, personally reviewed by Berkana leadership, and welcomed through a formal onboarding process. This deliberate approach preserves the character of the consortium and safeguards the trust upon which every relationship is built.
The Path to Membership

Trusted Introduction
Membership begins with a personal introduction from an existing member or a trusted relationship of Berkana. Every introduction carries the confidence of the person extending it and marks the beginning of a relationship founded on trust.

Personal Conversation
Every prospective member is invited to a private conversation with one of Berkana’s founding partners. It is an opportunity to understand one another, explore shared values, and ensure mutual alignment before an invitation is extended.

Invitation & Onboarding
Following mutual alignment, members receive a formal invitation to join Berkana and are welcomed through a considered onboarding experience. This introduction to the consortium’s principles, people, and culture marks the beginning of a long-term relationship.
Participation Principles
Members introduce opportunities only where they hold a direct, material interest—as an investor or through active operational involvement.
Contribution is a defining principle of Berkana. Every member is expected to strengthen the consortium through her experience, judgment, relationships, and perspective.
- Direct personal investment in the opportunity, or active operational involvement in the underlying venture or asset.
- Every member contributes to the strength of the consortium through thoughtful introductions, shared knowledge, and meaningful participation.
- Unsolicited selling and third-party promotion are not permitted.
Protecting the Circle
Every introduction is first reviewed by Berkana leadership before an invitation is extended, ensuring that each new relationship strengthens the consortium and preserves the trust upon which it is built. Existing members introduce prospective members directly to Berkana leadership; no application is required.
